We all have important values and ideas, things we care about and want to share. Sometimes we feel our ideas can even change the world, sometimes indeed they change our spheres. We want to let other people know about us and join us in our activities

A Bit About us
The Arab Educational Institute (AEI) is a Palestinian organization for community education operative in the Bethlehem area of Palestine. After the Institute's foundation in 1986 its locality in the center of Bethlehem was used for giving classes on a broad variety of subjects, including computer programs, business administration and languages. While being forced to intermittently close and open during the Intifada, AEI provided complementary and remedial coaching programs for pupils while schools
were closed. However, the uncertain situation and the lack of funding immediately after the Gulf War in 1990-1991 forced the administration to suspend all activities. At the end of 1996 the administration decided to re-open AEI in light of the changing political and educational circumstances in Bethlehem and Palestine.
In 1997 it started a cooperation with the Dutch "Euro-Arab Dialogue from Below" (EAd) initiative and, in this context, sensitizes local Palestinian partners for exchanges with European institutions in the field of youth participation and community (especially Moslem-Christian) education. AEI is now engaged in a number of local and international youth and education projects.
